Just two days after a 2-1 road win over Arizona , No. 24 UCF continued to roll on Sunday evening, beating Arizona State on the road 2-1 to create a four-game win streak.

The two teams played to a scoreless tie in the first half, with the Knights (4-1) out-shooting the Sun Devils (1-2-1) 9-4 (with a 1-0 advantage in shots on goal). UCF finally broke through in the 46th minute, as junior Carrie Lawrence sent a pass to freshman Dina Orschmann, who beat the keeper for her second goal of the season.

The Knights added to their lead in the 55th minute on a goal from senior Morgan Ferrara. Her second goal of the season was assisted by senior Kathellen Sousa. Arizona State cut into the deficit with a goal in the 77th minute, but failed to find the equalizer.

Junior Vera Varis and sophomore Chloe N’Gazi split time in net, but N’Gazi was the only one to see any real action. She made two saves on three shots on goal.

With the win, the Knights have now won three straight games against power conference teams. The streak started on Aug. 25 against No. 4 North Carolina (ACC), then continued on Sept. 1 against Arizona (Pac-12).

UCF will now return home, looking to extend its win streak to five on Friday at 7 p.m. against LSU.
