On Saturday night, UCF Football won its second straight conference championship in a thrilling comeback win over Memphis. But despite having now won 25 games in a row, the Knights were left out of the College Football Playoff on Sunday morning.

The Playoff Committee instead opted to select Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, the three other undefeated teams in college football, and one-loss Oklahoma. The Knights were not in the top six but likely finished at seven or eight. The full Top 25 will be unveiled at 2 p.m.

UCF, however will still get to play in a New Year’s Six Bowl since it is the highest ranked Group of Five champion. The Knights will find out what bowl they are headed to later today.
