Wide receiver Tre’Quan Smith became the second player from UCF to be drafted in the 2018 draft, joining cornerback Mike Hughes.
Smith was drafted on day two of the NFL draft with the 91st pick in the third round. He’s drafted not even 24 hours after Hughes was taken by the Minnesota Vikings with the 30th pick in the first round.
Smith played in 37 games with the Knights, totaling 2,659 receiving yards and 22 touchdowns. He was a key factor in the Knights’ most recent Peach Bowl win and undefeated season. He recorded 13 touchdowns and 1,082 receiving yards in the last season alone.
After tonight, linebacker Shaquem Griffin and tight end Jordan Akins remain two of the last players expected to be drafted from UCF.
