UCF continued its win streak Tuesday night, as it beat Stetson University 74-55 for its fourth straight win.
The Knights (8-3) took the lead just over six minutes into the game and never gave it back. The Hatters (7-7) kept it close in the first half, as the margin never reached double digits as the Knights went into halftime with a 42-35 lead.
UCF was able to push the margin to double digits right out of halftime on an and-one layup from junior center Tacko Fall on the first possession of the half. That play also started a 13-0 UCF run that lasted over the first four minutes of the second half. It put the Knights in control for the remainder of the game.
UCF’s defense suffocated Stetson, holding them to 33 percent shooting and outrebounding the Hatters by 18.
Fall led the way with 18 points and 11 rebounds on 89% shooting, along with redshirt senior A.J. Davis who finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Junior Dayon Griffin chipped in with 13 points and redshirt sophomore guard Terrell Allen had a career-high nine assists.
The Hatters were led by Divine Myles, who had 14 points and six rebounds.
UCF is back home Thursday to play South Carolina State.
