The UCF Women’s Soccer team battled it out against the University of Houston Thursday night, resulting in a 4-0 AAC win for the Knights.
The game started off with a lot of offensive action for the Knights (8-1-1, 4-0-1 AAC), resulting in numerous shots on goal by UCF and countless saves by Houston goalie Rachel Estopare.
Senior forward Morgan Ferrara was the first to score for the Knights, assisted on the goal by freshman Dina Orschmann. It was Ferrara’s ninth goal of the season.
Five minutes later, Orschmann sent a ball in off a corner, allowing senior Kayla Adamek to score her third goal of the year. Ferrara then scored again off an assist by sophomore Zandy Soree.
Orschmann has continued to shine in her freshman year, scoring five goals and tallying seven assists.
Ferrara assisted Adamek in the last goal for UCF, ending the first half with a 4-0 lead.
Despite the continued offensive efforts by UCF, the Knights weren’t able to score again throughout the game.
The Knights will travel to SMU Sunday, to take on the Mustangs (5-4-3, 0-2-1 AAC) at 2 p.m. for another conference matchup.
