UCF Men’s Basketball redshirt junior transfer Aubrey Dawkins will miss the entire 2017-18 season with a shoulder injury.

“It sucks. I’m definitely heartbroken,” Dawkins said in a video announcement Monday night. “Next season I’ll be back stronger.”

First reported by Seth Davis of CBS Sports and confirmed by UCF Men’s Basketball Twitter, Dawkins made the announcement late Monday night through a video.

Dawkins, who is the son of head coach Johnny Dawkins, sat out last season after transferring from Michigan.

The guard played in all 36 games with Michigan in his sophomore campaign, averaging 15.8 minutes per game. He averaged 6.5 points per game and 2.5 rebounds in his 2015-16 season.
