After hinting at it for some time, UCF Football has finally confirmed that the team will add new colors and combinations to its uniforms for the 2017 season.

According to UCF’s “New in 2017” article, the Knights will “add many more uniform combinations this year, with the addition of two new jerseys and a new color for pants.”

After hiring head coach Scott Frost before last season, UCF unveiled a full uniform redesign. After sporting a relatively basic gold and white uniform set for years, the Knights dropped the gold in favor of black while also adding anthracite and pewter uniforms.

The redesign included adding four new helmets, which was a major shift after the program had almost always only had a single helmet option.

The new set of uniforms, which included a total of four colors, gave the Knights a total of 64 possible combinations to wear. UCF also wore a number of unique decals on their helmets last season and, after revealing new gold chrome decals for their white helmets, will likely have more surprise decals this year.

UCF will kick off the 2017 season at home against FIU on Aug. 31.
