Junior wide receiver Dredrick Snelson announced on Sunday that he will not return to UCF for his senior season, opting to enter the 2019 NFL Draft.

“It’s now time for me to take the next step in being the man that I was raised to be,” he said in a statement posted to Twitter. “Therefore, I have decided to forego my senior season and enter the 2019 NFL Draft. I will forever be a Knight!”

Snelson was a key part of UCF’s 25-game win streak, serving as one of the Knights’ best and most consistent receivers over the last two seasons. He finished his college career with 1,519 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns.

While losing Snelson is obviously a huge blow, UCF still has plenty of talent returning at his position. Gabe Davis, Tre Nixon, Marlon Williams and Otis Anderson will all return for the Knights in 2019, who will be looking to make it to a third consecutive New Year’s Six Bowl.
